Summary: Unbroken is the true story of Louie Zamperini who lived through a unbelievable catastrophes. He began his life as a juvenile delinquent before running turned him around with the Olympics being his focus. With the world war imminent, Louie Zamperini joined the army. Louie’s tale becomes more intriguing after his plane crashed into the ocean during a search mission over the Pacific.

My thoughts: Overall, it was an ok book. It had to read half the book before the interesting portion of the story began and it’s a pity. I thought it nice to get the early life to establish the things that turned Louie’s life around but the latter half of the book was far more interesting. Now that I’ve finished the book, it will be great to compare it to the movie
