Summary: The novella is set in 19th century Iceland in the middle of winter where a hunter is lead on a transformative journey searing for an elusive blue fox. Along with the hunter’s journey, a naturalist tries to build a life for a rescued young woman with Down syndrome.
My thoughts: I enjoyed this novella and it was the perfect length. The novella provided some good descriptions of the Iceland’s beauty along with the violence in some of the characters. The author, Sjon, definitely engaged my imagination with his narrative of Iceland.
