You read about Book 1 in the trilogy here.

Read: #2 – August 22, 2020; #3 – September 14, 2020

Summary: In Chaibreaker, we continue with Danny’s clock mechanic journey. He knows he is being watched and who’s watching him is a mystery. Danny hopes to settle into life with his father and exploring his relationship with Coltonm except that has to be paused. Danny is required to travel to India to investigate why the Indian clock towers are falling and being attacked. During his time in India, Danny and Colton uncover more secrets about their past and the dangerous path they are on.

In Firestarter, there’s intenations of taking down the world’s clock towers so that time isn’t bound and can freely continue. Colton and some of the characters from book 2 are held captive and have to make a choice between helping to collapse the clock towers, or fight back in any way they can. No where in the world is safe from the choices that need to be made and hard choices much be made: saving those you love at the expense of the many, or making impossible sacrifices for the sake of a better world.

My Thoughts: Similar to my thoughts on book 1, it’s an interesting storyline but I found it was a little slow moving. It didn’t hold my interest for that long so I found that I was taking my time reading this books. Other YA novels I’ve previously read have been more fast-paced and the characters more intriguing that the ones in this book. This trilogy is great if you have a more relaxed week off.
