Read: August 6, 2020

Summary: Cities and towns are controlled by clock towers in this alternate Victorian world. Time can be fractured by damaged clocks or completely stop if the clock tower is destroyed.

A young teenaged mechanic is determined to rescue his father from a stopped town. He’s a prodigy that is able to fix time along with clockwork. As he begins his journey to save his father, a budding romance and mysterious bombings jeopardize England.

My Thoughts: Timekeeper, the first book in a YA trilogy, was an average read. It provided enough adventure and was lighthearted to read which makes it a great vacation book. The characters were likeable but I didn’t find the characters developed strongly – this might take place during later novels in the trilogy (hopefully).
