My mum and I recently visited the Louis Vuitton Time Capsule located at Union Station until September 30, 2018.

We began with the watching the handcrafting of some items that go into making a Louis Vuitton bag. The lady featured in the photo above has worked for the company for 25 years and was demonstrating hand painted the leather edges and sewing the handles. Depending on the bag, we were told that it can take 5 to 15 hours to make some of the smaller bags.

We then strolled through the exhibit. The information that was handed out while we were in line stated that Louis Vuitton started out making traveller trunks to house and protect items for mostly the upper class. The trunks and purses on display were from the 1800s to current models. Some were in collaboration with other artists and fashion designers.

Overall, it was interesting to walk through. It didn’t take long to go through the exhibit.
