Summary: Not knowing how far home was, an Ojibwe boy runs away from a North Ontario Indian School. The boy’s journey is difficult and spirits of the forest follow him along the way commenting on his passage back home. Ultimately, the spirits offer the Ojibwe boy some comfort during his hard journey back home.

My Thoughts: It was an interesting perspective. I wasn’t anticipating it to be put into this perspective where you don’t know the characters names or that there wasn’t too much dialogue.  It was short novel and it was a great read.  I found it interesting that it was based on a true story.
