Pan Am Games 2015

I have had a chance to experience some of the Pan Am Games competitions and associated events around Toronto. It’s been a fun and good experience and exciting to see the many volunteers and athletes walking around town.

The first event I had tickets for was rhythmic gymnastics at the Ricoh Coliseum. Gymnastics has always been on my list to see live if ever the opportunity came up and so it did. It was a medal round and I like watching the women work with the equipment they had for the 2 rounds we saw. They had done 2 rounds the previous day and the group work was following the individuals. The stadium wasn’t packed but still it was a good atmosphere.

I was with some of my relatives so we headed outside to look around the Pan Am Park nearby. There were lots of people with lots of food stalls. We managed to get a free ice cream while we were walking around as well.

In the evening on the same day, I went to see the trampoline gymnastics which was also at the Ricoh Coliseum. This time it was men’s and women’s trampoline and it was more exciting that the rhythmic. I liked getting the commentary on what the judges look for and what the gymnasts must complete in their routine.

Para-Pan Am Games is coming up next month and I imagine those events would be just as exciting as well.
