Summary: Reunion is a semiautobiographical graphic novel telling the story leading up and including Pascal Girard’s ten-year high school reunion. Although he initially decides not to attend, he quickly changes his mind when Lucie Coté, the girl Pascal had a huge crush on in high school, emails him asking if he would like to accompany her to the reunion.  As Pascal is still infatuated with Lucie Coté, he must keep Lucie’s invitation a secret along with his almost uncontrollable infatuation from his girlfriend, Julie. With the anxiety of looking good and attending a reunion, Pascal begins his journey to slim down and maintain confidence in his “winner” personality.  The reunion proves to be more challenging than ever and how would Pascal even cope with realizations over the course of the party.

My thoughts: As graphic novels are pretty quick to read, I read this particular novel in a day and thought it was relatable and enjoyed reading it.  I was sometimes irritated by the main character when he described his high school days and how he seemed to be stuck in that mindset too.  It was definitely a comical read and I did chuckle with disbelief at some of the characters antics and conversations.
