Another TIFF movie I enjoyed was 99 Homes.  It’s an American film about the housing crisis.

The movie follows an unemployed construction worker, Dennis Nash, who is trying to save the family home in Florida. A realtor, Rick Carver, who deals with foreclosures and evictions eventually evicts Dennis and his family for their home. Through several events, Dennis gains employment and success with Rick Carver’s business. Not only does Dennis gain success but he faces a number of moral issues with how the business is run.

I thought this movie was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. It was mildly recommended on a couple different websites and would be on my recommended list as well.
