Summary: A couple, Ambrose Zephyr and his wife Zappora Ashkenazi, live a happily blissful life together in a narrow London terrace full of books.  Their balanced life together is thrown a curveball when they receive the news that Ambrose has contracted an illness.  The illness will likely lead to Ambrose’s death within the month. As the couple panic and try to cope with the news, they plan to leave the responsibilities of their successful careers and set off on an urgent voyage through real and imagined geographies of place, of history, of art, and of love.

The End of the Alphabet

My thoughts: This book was an average, quirky and nice light read. It’s a nice love story leaving me to read in between the unwritten gaps of the story. I might have to reread at some point to pay more attention to the unwritten portions of the story. It’s a great read for an afternoon indoors as you could easily read this book in one afternoon when there’s nothing else to do.
