From late September to early June, the Canadian Opera Company hosts free concerts and events showcasing various artists and their talents in six areas: vocal, piano, dance, jazz, chamber and world music.  These free performances mostly take place at lunch time on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the occasional lunch or evening Wednesday performances.

The Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts sets the stage for the artists to perform and inspire their audience.

I chose to see the Robi Botos trio last night.  Robi Botos is a Hungarian-born jazz pianist and was accompanied by a bassist and a percussionist.  He played a few of his original pieces and a couple jazz standards.  It was a fun concert to attend with a mixed crowd of elderly, young people, and families.  I enjoyed the one hour concert listening to the music, watching people, and sipping my cup of coffee.  I often was looking out onto the street watching the cars passing by as well.
