Summary: Frances Cha’s debut novel is set in contemporary Seoul, Korea and flows between four young women making their way in a world defined by impossibly high South Korean beauty standards, secret room salons catering to wealthy men, strict social hierarchies, and K-pop fan mania.

My Thoughts: I loved listening to this novel with each character’s chapters being read by a different actor. It was a very interesting to read about the South Korean beauty standards and other South Korean cultural elements. The characters were well developed and each of their stories were showcasing their flaws in an interesting way.
