IFOA: Free Event at Union Station

Last weekend I took advantage of the Festival of Authors’ free events that were taking place at Union Station.

Typical to the other events I’ve attended through the Festival Authors, this one was very similar. Four authors spoke and read excerpts from their novels. As one of the authors was late in arriving, an impromptu interview took place with the three authors that were there. Overall, the event was wonderful and well attended.

In addition to the authors speaking, there was a Mystery Library set up. There seemed to be a lot of people passing by and stopping at the table. I went to have a look at the table to see what it was. Basically, there were books that were wrapped up with no inidication of what they were. The person supervising the table provided some information – there were four categories: Canadian Authors, Mystery and Suspense, Non-Fiction (International Authors), and Fiction (International Authors). I chose my book from the Mystery and Suspense pile and ended up with a book called Turncoats.
