The last couple years I’ve spent time with some of my family members at the CNE. It’s a Toronto tradition that marks the end of the summer before the kids go back to school.

It was lovely to go the CNE with my brother and his family. The children were entertaining and was nice to see their excitement. The children did some rides and the parents did some too.

We went through the farm building to look (and sometimes touch) the farm animals. We learned about turkeys and baby pigs.

The highlight for me was the light festival. It showcased the fables and myths in lantern form.

It was so beautiful to see. I wasn’t expecting it to be as interesting as it was. It super bright and colourful with the stories behind what was produced in lantern form.

Overall it was such a nice afternoon at The Ex.
