The Queen, Read: May 28, 2018

The Prince, Read: June 2, 2018

Summary: Both The Queen and The Prince focus on the process before the selection process begins in The Selection (Book 1). The Queen is the selection process of the current queen in the series (the prince’s mother). It gives the back-story of the queen and her perspectives during the process. It gives some insight into her opinions and viewpoint that run through the series. The Prince provides the viewpoint of the prince before and during the beginning stages of the selection process.

My Thoughts: Both were quick reads that can be completed in less than 1-day. They fit well within the series writing style and continued to be my hook to read the remainder of the books. Both novellas provided enough of a different perspective to explain some of the ‘whys’ that popped into mind when I read the first book in the series, The Selection.
