Summary: Junior is a aspiring cartoonist who lives on the Spokane Indian Reservation. He is taking his future into his own hands when he decides to attend an all-white high school off the reservation. The story chronicles Junior’s experiences as he breaks away from the life he is told he’s suppose to live.

My Thoughts: I really enjoyed reading this book. It was refreshing to have a young adult book focused on a lead male character. I enjoyed his perspective on being in the minority group at school and his struggles to better himself and his life outside of the Indian reserve he lives on.  Most of the young adult books focus on mostly white female characters so this was a great find to read.
