Theatre in the Park: Romeo and Juliet

A couple weeks ago, my aunt, one of my brothers and I went to check the Guild Festival Theatre at the Guild Park and Gardens in Scarborough.  This year’s play was Romeo and Juliet. My aunt and I saw The Misanthorpes and The Importance of Being Ernest, both plays were done well and we were excited to go again this year.

Like in previous years, it was nice evening out with a bite to eat before heading over to the park. We made sure we were wearing long pants so as not to get mosquito bites later on in the evening.

We found our spots and settled in to watch the play. The play could have been delivered better. The acting was average which made the play only just average. After the intermission, we watched a bit more but got so frustrated with the mosquitoes flying around that we left early.
