Stargirl

Summary: Mica High is quiet school that soon becomes enchanted by the arrival of girl who is colourful inside and out.  Whispers of her name, Stargirl, run through the hallways and she is able to start a school-spirit revolution.  Leo Borlock has been at Mica High for a short time but his heart is captured by Stargirl’s smile.   Suddenly, just for being different, Stargirl is shunned and Leo urges her to conform to Mica High’s normal.

My Thoughts: I really enjoyed reading Stargirl and found that I couldn’t put the book down.  It’s a short novel and can easily be read in one sitting – at least I could have read it in one go as Stargirl was a page turner for me.
