David Bowie Exhibit

Yesterday I went to see the David Bowie exhibit at the Art Gallery of Ontario.  It was a very fun and interactive exhibit to go through complete with an audio guide.

The exhibit spanned two floors and showcased several of David Bowie’s items.  Several costumes, art work, lyrics and other handwritten items, art, video clips were all on display. The audio guide always came on when I stepped into a different room playing the sound of whatever video was on screen.

My favourite portion of the exhibit was a room with 9 x 9 display of televisions with light and dark carpet tiles in the same pattern on the floor.  By stepping on the light carpet tile, the sound that corresponded with the music video on the television would come through.  It would change depending on which light carpet tile you stepped on and the video that was playing on the television.
