Summary: Over three books – Switched, Torn, and Ascend – the story of seventeen-year-old Wendy Everly is told.  Wendy always knew she was different but didn’t understand how or why.  It’s not until Wendy uncovers her heritage by being thrown into a world she couldn’t ever imagine.  As she journeys through discovering her heritage, tap into her powers, and fight against those who want to use her gifts for evil, Wendy must decide who she really is and what she wants, between love and duty, in a struggle for her very survival.

My thoughts: I thought this book was just ok – maybe it would be better if I was younger.  Unlike other series like Harry Potter or Twilight, the Trylle Trilogy is definitely geared to a young audience..  Overall, the storyline was simple but kept me interested in reading to see how things pulled together.  It is predictable which makes it a good read for vacations or a day spent indoors at home.  The writing style was simple too and could have been written better.
