Last night I went to see Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead with my brothers and sister-in-law.  The summary of the play, plot, characters and themes can be read here.  The play, written by Tom Stoppard, uses two minor characters from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. Although the focus of the play is on Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, we do see scenes with major characters from Hamlet scattered throughout the play.

It was a fun and entertaining play to watch with lots of laughter from the audience.  The stage was surrounded by the audience and felt more interactive with the actors coming on and off stage from all four corners.  It is definitely well worth watching.

You can get tickets for this show, as well as other performances, at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts.
