Vacationing in Europe

After having spent a few weeks in Europe, I thought I share a few things from the planning stages prior to showcasing pictures and stories.

This trip involved flights to Amsterdam, Barcelona and back home from Malaga with train rides to several cities in between. So here the sites I frequented when checking for flights, hotels/apartments, trains, and buses.

Marbella

1. Flights
I used Expedia and Vayama to check prices for flights. Plus, I dropped by a couple different travel agencies to compare prices.

2. Hotels / Apartments
Review for hotels and inns: www.tripadvisor.com
These are the hotels we used:
Amsterdam: Palace B&B
Granada: Abba Hotel Granada
Malaga: Barceló Malaga

Ronda

For apartments, we browsed through listings on Airbnb. We rented apartments in BarcelonaMadrid and Seville.

3. Trains
We ended up buying a Eurail pass for Spain at Rail Europe. It also lists train schedules and prices per trip if you chose not to use a pass.

Seville

4. Buses
I did a search for bus companies hoping to find schedules and pricing. Alsa came up in my search and their site was easy to navigate. It listed schedules, pricing and options to buy online. Since we bought our tickets as we needed it, we ended up using Portillo.
