Summary: In this first book of the duology, Fable, the daughter of a powerful trader, is trying to find her place in the world made dangerous by the sea and by those who wish to profit from it. She was witness to her mother’s drowning during a storm and spent four years living on her own due to abandonment by her father on the Narrows.
Fable’s quest to find her father in order to take her rightful place beside him and his crew is filled with romance, intrigue and adventure.
My Thoughts: It was an adventurous read sailing through the seas in search of what if the characters would do to survive and repair their relationships. The characters had their flaws and were well developed. I enjoyed the journey that this first novel in the duology took me on.
