Summary: Set in 1836 Ontario, Ensign Marc Edwards goes undercover in a small town to look into the death of secret agent Joshua Smallman. Ensign Edward’s loyalties and skills are put to the test in the midst of seduction and investigation.
My Thoughts: This was the average murder mystery. I may have seen it in the bookstore a while ago and put on my list but didn’t get to reading it until the International Festival of Authors were hosting a mystery bookstore. I didn’t know what I was getting until I unwrapped the book I picked. It’s one of those novels that I’d probably read while on vacation or needed a light read. The characters had great storylines and interacted with each other quite well. I’m glad I read it and will likely continue reading the remainder of the series
