The Hot Docs Festival is in full swing and I have several documentaries this week to watch. I saw my first documentary, Netizens, over the weekend.
The documentary follows three women in the US who face and confront cyber harassment and abuse receive and the changes they seek for online communities and in the legal systems.
Netizens was an interesting documentary. It was great to see women in different age groups trying to make changes based on their experiences with online harassment. The Q&A was a really good conversation too which providing more insight into what’s being done since the documentary’s filming ended.
