Summary: Written as a series of letters, Juliet, an author living in London, England, is drawn into the world of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. The society was born as a spontaneous excuse to cover its members breaking curfew during the Germans occupation of their island. Juliet commences writing with the society’s members and is captivated by their stories while learning about their island. She is enraptured by those who corresponds with that she sets sail for Guernsey, and what she finds will change her forever.
My Thoughts: This was a charming read and I loved that it was a collection of letters instead of the typically written novels. It left some things to the imagination as to who the characters were living and circumstances behind some of the letters.
