Summary: Annabelle Doll is 8 years old who, with her family, came into existence over 100 years ago. Life in the dollhouse hasn’t changed in during that time, except that Annabelle’s Auntie Sarah disappeared 45 years ago without a trace. Annabelle is becoming increasingly curious about her aunt’s fate. She becomes more driven when she finds Auntie Sarah’s old diary. Her family is overly cautious and tries to discourage her, but Annabelle risks Permanent Doll State to pursue her adventure in finding Auntie Sarah.
My Thoughts: This was an okay read. If I read this with a child in the intended age group, it did feel a tad slow in portions of the book. It could have been slightly shorter. Overall, the story had some great things to share regarding friendships, determination, and sharing.
