I recently went to see an encore presentation of the National Theatre Live’s Frankenstein with Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller in the roles of the Creature and Frankenstein. As the actors alternate in the roles of the Creature and Victor Frankenstein, it is worth seeing both versions. There is an introductory documentary outlining some of the details in the production of Frankenstein and the inspiration the went along with producing the show.
Both actors are great and acted their roles differently. I did prefer Benedict Cumberbatch is his role of the Creature over Jonny Lee Miller’s acting in the same role.
The film has been playing at the Cineplex at Yonge-Dundas Square and has been sold out for both times.
