The Sail-In Movies took place during the weekend of August 14 to 16, 2014. I had intended and registered to see all three movies but only saw the first one of the three on the Thursday night. The movies playing were Jaws, Jurassic Park, and E.T. Although it wasn’t necessary to register, the registration allowed access to the draw to win two tickets for Porter Airlines which I didn’t win as well as receiving notification if any of the movie nights got cancelled. It was cancelled the Saturday night due to forecasted thunderstorms.
The movie screen was floating on a barge in the lake and was a dual screen allowing the boats to see one side and those on land to see the opposite screen. It was a fun night with people bringing their picnic dinners and drinks, sitting on blankets or chairs they had brought. It was a chilly night though so we were warmly enough but would have been more enjoyable if the weather was warmer.
