I recently visited a friend, Melissa, in Orangeville as the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Fest was taken place on the weekend I was there. Although the journey to Orangeville was long on the Friday afternoon due to construction in Toronto, the evening was super nice as we stroll through downtown Orangeville.
There was a shuttle bus service bringing the community together from the eastern and western part of the city which saved us on trying to find parking. We checked out the community band and a few other jazz and rock bands as we strolled through the downtown area. Some bands we great to watch while others weren’t.
We stopped in the one of the bars for a beer halfway through our walk and broke for dinner at a Caribbean restaurant later on in the evening. We were able to enjoy the music while we ate dinner and the all the restaurants and pubs seemed to be enjoying the extra business as well.
We ended the evening at Melissa’s friend’s bar and restaurant, The Barley Vine Rail Co, where another set of her friends had bands playing. We hung out on the patio enjoying the remainder of the evening. We managed to catch the shuttle bus back and were entertained by the bus driver as well as a couple other girls who were with us on the ride into town earlier in the evening.
