Last week I went to check out the 2014 Trillium Book Awards. I was interested in how a literary awards event was put together and it would be great to add more books to my ever growing list.
It was a nice event. The awards recognized Ontario writers and featured French-language and English-language writers. I did enjoy listened to the authors read excerpts from their work. The French-speaking authors and poets were just as interesting to listen to even though I didn’t really understand everything.
I didn’t stay for the entire event but did walk away with one book, Cataract City, added to my list that I’d like to read.
