I recently did a workshop at Paintlounge. I thought it would be fun to do a painting workshop and had seen a few group buys for painting workshops at other similar places. I went with Paintlounge as it was somewhat centrally located in Little Italy. They do have a location in Markham as well.
On Paintlounge’s website, there were a variety of pictures to choose which were listed as easy, moderate, or challenging. Although when I was going through the workshops, I went with the Pink Eiffel workshop which was rated as moderate. It was my first time painting and went with the advice listed on the website – no matter what level I chose, I should be able to come away painting at any level even as a beginner. It was a great workshop in a neat little space.
It definitely was easy enough for me to paint a ‘moderate’ painting. The teacher was great, friendly, and willing to help fix mistakes and make suggestions. I did get some help and advice on what to do and the girl sitting next to me received some great ideas to add to her painting. We all left with paintings that were uniquely our own as we were able to either stay with what the picture looked like or switch up the background colours. I’d definitely do another workshop or one of their special events.
