Summary: Nick and Amy Dunne have been married for 5 years and troubles begin to appear in their relationship. The couple loses their jobs while living in New York City and makes the decision to move to a small town in Missouri to help care for Nick’s ailing mother. In the midst of building up their new living situation, Nick takes on the challenge of opening and running a bar with money borrowed from his wealth wife. As Nick and Amy adjust to their new life and celebrations for their fifth anniversary begin, Amy disappears. All clues point to Nick playing a huge part in Amy’s disappearance, but was he really involved?
My thoughts: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a great mixture for suspense, thriller, and crime. There were definitely lots of twists that I did not see coming. I had the expectation that it would be the typical mystery novel with a predictable plot line. It definitely wasn’t predictable and a page turner just to find out what happened next.
