On Wednesday last week, I went to see the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. They were performing a number of the pieces from the James Bond movies as part of their Pop Series.
It was a fun concert to attend as most of the people sitting around me were young. I had a seat in the Choir Loft, behind the orchestra. It was a good chance to see the front of the conductor instead of his back. The conductor seemed to have a lot of fun with the music and gave great introductions to each piece.
The main James Bond theme opened the concert followed by several pieces from various James Bond films. As some of the films featured songs, there were two singers that performed with the orchestra. After the intermission, we listened to a few other non-James Bond pieces that would be considered part of the same genre of music before closing with a few more James Bond songs and pieces.
