Summary: The Night Bookmobile is a graphic novel that first appeared as a weekly column in the UK’s Guardian newspaper. It tells the story of a woman, on one night, has a chance meeting witha disappearing bookmobile. The bookmobile is a library containing all the books she ever read. After spending the night in the bookmobile rummaging through her library, she plunges into a search for this library on wheels.
My Thoughts: After picking this book up from the library, I immediately thought that this would be geared to children or pre-teens. Towards the end of the book, I realized that, with the mature content, it was for adults. I was indifferent to The Night Bookmobile as it was neither good or bad. I was mostly unsatisfied with the story as I don’t think it was fully developed or planned properly. It could be a longer story to accomodate some of the areas in the story I felt were missing. On the plus side, it was a very quick read and had I read this book for what it was without any expectations.
