Summary: Starting in 1912, we follow the story of Helen Fox, a factory worker living in New York. Due to a tragedy at a factory, she joins the Suffragist cause which deepens as Helen becomes more involved. Helen’s immersive work in the movement is a source of tension between her and her husband and is also an inspiration for her daughters.
My Thoughts: This novel was informative and with a good storyline that allowed for a lot of reflection. It provided some good challenges between the characters along with inspiring resolutions. I enjoyed learning about the personal side of being involved in the Suffragist movement.
