Last weekend I had to get my phone fixed and headed up to Pacific Mall.  Since Pacific Mall is located in Markham and had to wait for my phone, it was perfect time to stroll around the mall.

The mall is an asian shopping located on the northeast side of Steeles Avenue and Kennedy Road on the municipal border of Markham and Scarborough. Pacific Mall, together with the existing shopping plaza, Market Village, encompass over 500 stores and also have indoor and outdoor parking areas. The mall consists of two levels plus a basement.  The main level has several stores that cater to the Asian community including electronic stores, clothing, and herbal stores.  The second level has two restaurants and a few other food stalls. The mall’s management offices along with the washrooms and access to the indoor parking are located in the basement

Designed by Wallman Clewes Bergman Architects and built in the traditional pacific market style.  Pacific Place in Hong Kong was the inspiration for Pacific Mall who first opened its doors for business in 1997.  As Pacific Mall is celebrating their 16th year of operation, a stage was set up in the centre of the main level.  Events were scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays at 3pm for the month of March.

Pacific Mall is definitely a destination like no other in Toronto and can bring the tourists and locals to the northern part of the city.
